Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Advisor to join our Specification Team. This role will report to the National Specification Manager and you will be involved in a range of large scale curtain wall projects from concept stage to completion. You will also work with a variety of clients, including well known architects, builders and developers and assist in the design and delivery of memorable, awe-inspiring buildings.

About the Role

The role includes:

Contribute to the design and engineering of curtain wall and window and door systems, as well as specialty systems (i.e., Roof Glazing etc.)
Understanding of design and buildability of façade systems including material knowledge and installation techniques
Coordinate with other project consultants such as Architects and Builders to determine best practice façade design outcomes
Provide hand design sketches, develop reports for all stages of the project from conception to completion
Write specifications and respond to site and construction related queries
Assist and coordinate with other members of the consulting team in the preparation of project deliverables
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members
Qualifications

Skills and Experience

Significant experience working in the construction industry
Extensive familiarity with façade systems, façade design, materials and fabrication / manufacture
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Ability to hand sketch for presentation purposes
Client and team focused
Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for façades and services
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Planning and organizational skills
Be flexible to meet varied demands of the role
